    Question Why do I have a random inconsistent space when viewing in Firefox?

    I've been reviewing a page for cross-browser compatibility though I've noticed a problem in the latest version of Firefox.

    An unexplainable white block appears beneath the navigation menu though it does not occur in any other browser.

    I've checked the CSS though I can't any specific CSS code that's causing the space i.e. no margins or paddings are specified.

    Here's the page in question: http://tinyurl.com/cuq4ql2

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Add to your CSS anywhere:

    Code:
    #home_panels {
         padding-top: 25px !important;
    }
    #home_panels table {
         margin-top: 0 !important;
    }

    Fantastic, thank you.

    I guess that's what I get for using a table for layout.

    Marked as resolved.

    It was not because of the <table>.

    The general rule is if you are trying to push something in or out (constrict) the parent, use paddings. If you are trying to move something use margins.

    The problem was that there were confusing floats and you should probably steer away from using margin-top: ; as I've seen a countless number of threads posted because of the "blank space".
