    HTML Email shows a gap!

Hello! Coming back here once again because I've had problems solved here in the past.

    This time:
I have a webpage that is going to be inserted into an HTML email. It all checks out except for a small gap between the header and main info images. It appears 100% fine in a browser, but when I paste the code into GMAIL and send it back to myself, I see a gap, and that is how all others email clients will see it. (See screenshot)

Usually the style="display:block;" fixes the gaps, but this header has two images side by side because each links to a separate image of a box art. I have tried putting them into separate tables with no cellpadding and spacing, but no luck. I'm having this issue with another project so the sooner I can get it fixed the better.

    Thanks guys!

    Here's the page: http://esssalesinfo.com/wbgames/spyhunter2.html

But here's how it looks in an email:

Does it appear that way on the receiving end, or just your web mail client?

Either way, you could just add inline positioning to the bottom image/background tag - style="position:relative;top:-4px;left:0px;"

or ...top:4px;... to the upper one.

If LarryW's solution does not work for you, please post the code for the email.

It is impossible to guess where you split up the page.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not at my computer but I will try that soon. To view the code just click the link and right click > view source code

Okay, not sure if this will work.
EDIT: Yeah, that inline style just makes a gap visible on the web page itself, and of course still leaves a visible gap when sent through an email.

For sake of time, perhaps you guys can tell me other ways I can position two images side by side seamlessly, each with their own link. And then place images below that, without showing a gap between the first and second layers. Weird thing is though, that the gaps ONLY show up when I have pasted an HTML page into an email, and sent it back to myself. That is how I receive it.

    Like so:

    [_] [_] <- two images, seamless, links
    [____] <- no gap between
    [____]
    [____]
    [____]

I don't see how that has anything to do with it. I make them and they get sent out through Interspire email program.

The website graphic looks fine, there's no need to mess with that. Use the inline positioning on the email image tag code. <img src="....." style="......">
