    header background acting funny in IE

    I have the following setup:
    <div id="header">
    <div id="container">
    ...
    </div>
    </div>

    header div has a background image with repeat-x and width:100%, and container div has a fixed width of 800px. When I zoom in IE to where the screen width is < 800px, header div's background will only cover the width of the screen. This means if the user scrolls right abit, he'll see some of the content inside container div w/o a backgroud img. Is there a way to make IE comply and make header's background the width of the entire page, not just the screen? (Using IE9 btw) Thanks!

    Hello,

    In order to expect some help, you should give the entire code html/css that shows the bug.
    I'm not I've well understand what you're talking about. What you describe seems a normal behavior to me. Maybe adding a min-width:800px on #header could prevent the problem.

    Actually the min-width solved the problem. Can't believe I didn't think to try that lol. Thanks
