    IMG and ALT, stoping the fade

    With the example code:
    Code:
    <img src="smiley.gif" alt="Smiley face" />
    Get the "Smiley face" text with hovering over the image, but after 5 seconds it fades. There a way to stop the text from fading until you stop hovering over the image with the mouse?

    No, that depends on the browser. And it should not even show a tooltip. Apparently you are using Internet Explorer which gets it wrong. The alt attribute is just for alternative text in case the image can’t be displayed. For tooltips you should use the title attribute.

    Yes, I am using IE.

    I did a test with the following code, but it also fades after 5 seconds.

    Code:
    <p title="Title Test">Title test -stoping the fade</p>

    Hello Ormus,
    Maybe this will help - http://speckyboy.com/2009/09/16/25-u...and-tutorials/

    That will give you more control over your tooltips.
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
