Adding image above post header in wordpress

I have a prophoto4 wordpress theme and I am trying to add an image above each post header(border lines). I am trying to separate each post with space between each that shows the background, but when I do that, the post divider image stays on the bottom of the post above and the side borders run off the post. I'm trying to add an image that will be of my "top cap" to the border to appear above each post header(not the main page header). Does any of that make sense? I know very little about coding, so I was curious if it was just a few lines of coding I could add to do that or what. Any help is appreciated. I'm using the most current wordpress as well. Thanks in advance!

You should use another theme. and can change your necessary changes form theme options of header. There also be an option for scrolling the image.
