    CSS text transform problem

    I have a list on a website where one column is in upppercase using CSS text-transform: uppercase;

    The problem is if I copy & paste any foreign characters such as:
    —, «, Ń, Ň, ÷, etc they always ends up in lowercase, even when the character pasted is already in uppercase, the rest of the characters are OK just the foreign characters that are wrong.

    In the column that is text-transform: capitalize; where the first character is in uppercase the character turns out correctly in uppercase.

    It's just when the CSS is text-transform: uppercase; the characters are in the wrong case.

    Can anyone please tell me how to correct this

    All help much appreciated

    What character encoding are you using?

    You could always use javascript if you can't find a solution.

    utf-8 is fine.

    Sorry I can't help you further but I'm pretty rubbish with javascript. I know it can be done though, and I don't think it would be too difficult.
