    fading text "slideshow"

hello! i'm looking for help with creating a text "slideshow" (for lack of better term) like the one used in the upper-left corner of this site:

    http://oncemusical.com/

or the upper-right corner of this site:

    http://witonbroadway.com/

i found information on creating a javascript version, but i read that using CSS was preferable.

this is something that will need to play cross-browser (including mobile)...

    possibilities to look at?

    thanks!

dan'l (not too skilled in CSS, but trying)

You'll want to use javascript and css together. Probabaly even some html.

Here are two tutorials I randomly pulled out of Google.
    http://www.webmonkey.com/2010/02/mak...ipt_slideshow/
    http://www.knowledgesutra.com/forums...show-tutorial/

For any help regarding these I'd use the JavaScript forum category.
