    Div Back ground image help with banner

    hello,

    Im trying to add a background image behind my banner, that stretches across the whole screen.

    like they do here with the blue background.
    http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp

    but my site templates use divs. here is my header code

    Id like to add an image behind my logo banner.

    Code:
    <div id="header">
    	<a href="index.php" id="header_logo" title="MidMoBuyandSell.Com">
    		<img src="{external file='images/logo.jpg'}" alt="MidMoBuyandSell.Com" title="MidMoBuyandSell.Com" />
    	</a>
    	<div id="top_banner">
    		<!-- EDIT THE FOLLOWING LINE OF CODE WITH YOUR BANNER OR ADSENSE CODE -->

    		<img src="{external file='images/free.jpg'}" alt="Free Classifieds for Rolla, St.James and Salem Missouri." title="MidMoBuyandSell.Com" width="150px" height="120" />

    	    <!-- EDIT THE ABOVE LINE OF CODE WITH YOUR BANNER OR ADSENSE CODE -->
        </div>
    </div>
    Can anyone show me how thats done.

    here is another website that does it using tables. it may give you an ideal of what i need.
    http://shopping.rollanet.org

    Help would be appreciated.

    Warm Regards,
    John

    Try making the div's background-image be your image.

    EDIT: All on w3schools.com
