    header link problems

    hi guys, i have a problem with my css, basically on this particular header i want the font colour to be black, regardless of if its a link or not, however I want to leave the old A:link the same as normal as its white, its just with the header gold you cant see white text on it, below is my headergold css:

    Code:
    .headerGold
    {
    	font-size: 13px;
    	font-family: verdana;
    	color: black;
    	background-image: url(/game/site/site/tablebg_gold.gif);

    }
    this makes all the text black, except from links :S, any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Dan

    Sounds like you have css with a higher priority acting on the links (higher specificity most likely).

    Try giving each of the links a class that makes them black, rather then inheriting the container's color.

    	color: white;
    	text-decoration: none;

    I thought you're trying to change the header links to black? So why not just make a class with the color black and apply it to the links? Or do something like

    Code:
    .headerGold a {
    color: #000;
    }

    Yeah, you have to apply link colors separately, they are not inherited by general parent element’s color.
