    How to make sure visitor sees any updates since last visit

    Very basic user with a basic website. When I make an edit to a page, upload it to the server, then go visit the site I still see the old cached version. How can I make sure users see latest updates with out the need to click refresh? Is there a section of code i just need to add to the page?

    Thanks!

    I tried a search, but I don't think i'm entering the correct terms to find what I need.

    You can use "expires" metatags (simply dropped into the document's <head> section) and/or "expires" and "cache-control" information in the HTTP headers (requiring .htaccess or server-side coding to pull off) to try to help this cache prevention along but remember: Users can still set their browser up to cache even when you don't want them to.

    Check google for some specific guidance to implement the both or either...

    It's usually a good idea to start out with this at the VERY TOP of your CSS: * {border:0;margin:0;padding:0;}
