    Weird preview problem

    I've made a layout, html & css. When I preview it by using DreamWeaver everything appears like it should. When I put it on localhost or a free host on the internet. One contentbox, made up by classes doesn't appear. But the right one, which is exactly the same does appear.

    But the text inside it, does appear.

    Html code:

    Code:
      <div id="bodyArea">
        <div class="left">
          <h2>header</h2>
          <div class="box">
            <p>content.</p>
          </div>
        </div> <!-- end .left -->
        <div class="right">
          <h2>header</h2>
          <div class="box">
            <p>Content.</p>
          </div>
        </div> <!-- end .right -->
      </div> <!-- end bodyArea -->

    Css

    Code:
    #wrapper #bodyArea {
    	background-image: url(../images/content-space.gif);
    	background-repeat: repeat-y;
    	height: 370px;
    }
    .left {
    	float:left;
    	width:268px;
    	height:336px;
    	padding:15px 10px 15px 15px;
    }

    .left h2 {
    	background-image:url(../images/left-content-header.gif);
    	height:66px;
    	width:268px;
    	display:block;
    	line-height:60px;
    	text-align:center;
    	color: #666;
    	text-shadow:1px 1px 1px black;

    }

    .left .box {
    	background-image:url(../images/left-content-box.gif);
    	width:268px;
    	height:241px;
    	text-align:left;
    }

    .right {
    	float:right;
    	width:567px;
    	height:305px;
    	padding:15px 15px 15px 10px;
    }

    .right h2 {
    	background-image:url(../images/right-content-header.gif);
    	height:66px;
    	width:567px;
    	display:block;
    	line-height:60px;
    	text-align:center;
    	color: #666;
    	text-shadow:1px 1px 1px black;
    }

    .right .box {
    	background-image:url(../images/right-content-box.gif);
    	background-repeat:no-repeat;
    	width:567px;
    	height:239px;
    	text-align:left;
    }

    Many thanks.

    But the right one, which is exactly the same does appear.
    Not sure what you mean by exactly the same, as the two boxes are not identical.

    One has a background image located at ../../MovieMakersTV/images/left-content-box.gif
    and the right one is located at ../images/right-content-box.gif

    do both of these files exist?

    Hello Krentenbol,
    You can't depend on DW's design view if that's what you're using.

    Preview should load it in your browsers locally and would be the best way to see how it looks.

    I see "content" in both a .left and .right
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    Oh, thank you I now see the image link isn't correct. On my pc it doesn't mind, but on the host it does since it doesn't reconise the link. Sorry for my stupid fault but this problem is solved.
