Span's background image being pushed down when I put text or images in it.

Hi guys, I have a top banner split in to three spans, and I want to put a little image of a vertical row of dots between each one, kind of like this:

    span | span | span

I have one image set as the background image positioned right in the left most span (#top-left), and the other set as the background image positioned left in the right most span (#top-right).

However, when I put an image, or any content, in #top-right the background image gets messed with. You can see what I mean from this test site: http://www.tailoring-guide.co.uk/test/

I've validated the code but I'm sure it's something obvious I've missed, thanks and sorry for being a moron in advance!

instead of using "display: inline-block;" can you use "float: left;"?

    Hi resdog, that worked, cheers.

I thought I had tried that already but must've not saved it properly. Thanks a lot!
