    Question IE9 renders layout wrong, why?!

    I have a custom theme for my website powered by drupal.
    My front page is coded and the layout is getting messed up in IE9!
    part of the left column gets put into the content area...

    so this is how my left column is coded in my page.tpl.php.

    PHP Code:
    <?php if ($left): ?>
        <div id= "leftcolumn"   >
            <?php print $left ?>
        </div>
    <?php endif; ?>
    And on my style.css page its writen out like this.

    Code:
    #leftcolumn {
    color: #XXX
    padding: 0;
    width: 185px;
    float: left;
       margin: 0px 0px 10px 15px;
       display: none;
    }

    I dont have a layout issue with any other browser. Just IE9

    "XXX" isn't a legal color, and it needs to be followed by a semicolon. To diagnose much more, I'd need the whole code (preferably a link to the page), not just a part of it.
