Inline date entry background color width

    Hi

I wrote a calendar in php, but I am having a hard time
making the css for the entry in month view

I would like to make the entry have a background color
that goes all the way from side to side in the date box.
I tried this below but it only highlights the word
    Code:
    <p><span style="background-color: #$bgcolor"><font color="#$color">testing 123</font></span></p>
    Thanks
    Sonny

PS I am trying to get a category entry color like in php-calendar, I also tried ul and li as well.

Not exactly sure what you're trying to do from that 1 line snippet of code, but your background style will apply to the contents of the <span> only and nothing else.

I am trying to stye a entry to have a bgcolor all the way across whether its a word or five, inside a date
    day box on a calendar.

Maybe I will need to take a snapshot and post that, but I bet you saw something like this a million times
inside calendars, I am just doing a bad job of describing it.

    Thanks
    Sonny
