    Social Network icons are not aligning in IE

    Hey All,

    For some reason, in IE, the social network icons do not line up like they do in FF, how do i get them to align in IE as well?

    Hello eberdome,
    You don't style your li.socials - they probably need a width to work as you intend.

    Try removing this bit highlighted in red from your CSS to start with -
    Code:
    div#contacts li.socials {float:right; max-height:40px; list-style-type:none; }
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    I would also suggest you put these icons as actual HTML images. Reason #1 is that empty elements are never good as they have no semantic purpose then and reason #2 is that without CSS there are no buttons (since it’s effectively just empty elements). A website has to make sense without CSS before you start styling it just as a website has to work without JS before you add fancy effects. That’s the principle of progressive enhancement.
