    Removing the image frame that appears before the image is loaded (Firefox)

    Hi,

    Is there a way to remove (or get around) the empty image frame that appears when the actual image is loading? You can see the example here:

    It seems to only happen in Firefox. And I prefer the way browsers like Safari load the images, just plain blank without any frames or icons.

    hello,

    this can be done using css, like so

    Your HTML
    Code:
    <span class="img">My Image</span>
    Your CSS
    Code:
    span.img {
        background:url(yourimagename.jpg) no-repeat; //your image and location of it
        width:200px; //the width of the image you are trying to display
        height:400px; //the height of the image you are trying to display
        text-indent:-9999px; // get rid of My Image text, this comes in handy for SEO purposes
    }

    That should do it!!
