    object tag not working in IE

    Code:
    <object type="text/html" width="100%" height="300px" data="random.php"></object>

    This code displays my results perfectly in FireFox. However, in IE, it displays a white box with a disabled scrollbar. >.< I've tried adding:

    Code:
    <param name="src" value="random.php">
    I've also tried changing the object tag to iframe tags...

    Help, please?

    Do you have a valid doctype statement at the top of your page? IE basically won't work without it.

    Yes, I'm using HTML Loose. I also have my character encoding as utf-8 declared.

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

    I have some errors but nothing to do with the object tag.
