Automated gif takes a long time to load?

On my index page, I have three automated gifs. Two load pretty quickly. THe third, though, takes forever. It's supposed to pop up on top of everything else in the lower right corner, over a link. The graphic itself is also a link - that's why it's supposed to be on top, so the user will click that instead of the text link.

How can I get it to load faster?

It all looked pretty quick to me.

Is this the flashing "Grand Opening" image you're talking about? Remember that an animated gif is basically a collection of pictures, so it'll be a bigger file size which will take longer to load.

If it is more of a problem than it looks for me, you could maybe put the code for that element further up so it gets read first by the browser, but that won't make a massive difference.
