    Question Background tiling

    How do I do background tiling. I want background-repeat: repeat-y to be on the right side instead of the left side. Also can someone please explain to me how you set up the background tiling on the html side and css side????

    Hi there andynov123,

    and a warm welcome to these forums.

    This is the required css...
    Code:

    <style type="text/css">
    body {
        background-image:url(your-image.jpg);
        background-repeat:repeat-y;
        background-position:right 0;
     }
    </style>

    For a tiled image, change to:

    body {
    width: XXpx;
    height: YYpx;
    margin: 0 auto;
    background: #fff url(image_name.jpg) repeat top left scroll;
    }

    Put that CSS on an external CSS file if you have more than one page. Put the CSS between the style tags and place them between the head tags if using it on one page. Style another tag other than the body tag if you are using a div wrap container. Should you want the contents of page to scroll over the background image, change "scroll" to "fixed".

    Need to place a div where you want it positioned first then change the selector name from body to whatever you want.
