Unhappy Drop Up menu - Need help...

I would need help on Drop-Up menu for My portfolio website. Below is the link >

    http://www.wideeyeddreams.com/sharath/

When you mouse-over on the portfolio link, you see a Drop-Up menu (Not Drop-Down), this is aligned properly in my Firefox browser (may be shifted right or left in other browsers), at Screen resolution of 1152X864 px.

But here is the problem >

    1) When you view this Drop-Up menu in a different resolution, the menu Layer shifts right or left.

    2) The Layer is placed there Manually, in the sense it is not inside a table or cell (The positions right now are "left:695px; top:259px;").

Could there be any solution for this please, as i don't want Drop-Up menu to misplace in any resolution??

Thanks for taking time to resolve this!

It can be solved, but the way you made the menu is improper, I'd say.

Since it's a "list" of links, you need to use an unordered list to make the navigation bar. Read http://boagworld.com/technology/sema...e-what-why-how

Also, you shouldn't use tables for making "any" layout, which is considered as a very bad practice. Take a look at http://www.hotdesign.com/seybold/

Finally, a javascript based drop-down/up effect may cause some accessibility issues for those who have no javascript support in their browser. The article at http://www.htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/dropdowns/ explains how to make a CSS based drop-down menu (it wouldn't be hard to convert to a drop-up effect)

    Good luck!
