    Selective-Show Div Element

Here's the deal...I'm trying to learn how to make a certain <div> element on my website only show up when the user is using a browser that is old or doesn't support certain techniques on my site.

Since the site is experimental, I'm not worried about losing users. What I want is a way to show a box that encourages users to upgrade, but ONLY if they are using a browser such as IE6, IE7, IE5, or any other that doesn't support shadows, rounded corners, and transparency.

    Any help would be appreciated!

You could use css conditional comments.

Thanks! I checked that out and it worked great. Is there by any chance a way to do that for old Firefox versions and Opera versions?
