what to do about AOL Grrr!

OK, so my pages are validated and the css is too. The pages display fine in all browsers such as FF, IE6 IE7 and IE8. However, one of my clients has had a web visitor, who has rung them to say their page doesn't display correctly because some text runs over the top of other text. Only happening in AOL's poxy browser.

what would you do? I don't want to go down the road of making the data display in tables !! Yet it needs to be fixed.

I'm pretty sure AOL uses the Firefox rendering engine. It used to use Internet Explorers but I don't think it does anymore. We need more details such as what version of the aol browser, their operating system. I think they just have a really outdated version of aol.

OK, I'll check their machine and if it should be updated, I'll do it for them. Pity I can't do it for the customer who complained about the website being wrong.

Well I was referring to what the customer was using.

yeh I know But it's my client giving me grief and if they weren't to have seen a similarly wrong display, they wouldn't have been bothered. I have no doubt their aol is outdated. I suggested switching to something more up to date, firefox or safari, and they nearly had a fit because it was a new system of browsing.

Most of my customers want to stick with what they have and a huge number of them have old AOL or old IE with no security at all

I thought they went over to the mozilla rendering engine at one point in time. Where did you see that it uses IE?
