    Question Help slicing this

    I'm trying to slice a psd template for wordpress theme. please view the jpg image @ http://tamilg.in/demo/helpslicingthis.jpeg

    I'm not sure how to slice the template to get content area and a sidebar of the format
    Code:
    <div id="page">
        <div id="content"> </div>
        <div id="sidebar"> </div>
        <div id="footer"> </div>
    </div>
    The issue is i'm finding it difficult to make the top of the page with the paper fold and the subscribe image in sidebar.
    Also the ring joining both the content and sidebar.

    Just looking for idea as how to slice it. Will it be easy if I change the above format?

    Thanks.

    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
    #content{
    width:give_it_a_value px;
    float:left;
    }
    #sidebar{
    width:give_it_a_value px;
    float:left;
    }
    #footer{
    clear:both;
    }
    </style>
    Is this what you are looking for?

    Hi Kor,
    Thanks for the response, but I'm asking how best I can slice the image and use it for this layout.

    Hmm. It like asking a surgeon how he cuts the appendixes, because you want to extract yours, by your own, at home.

    Web designing and web developing are real jobs and people learn quite a long time before taking those jobs. It is impossible to show you in several lines how many possibilities you have and how to think a slice according to the future HTML, CSS, Javascript and server-side codes you are to implement further.

    You have that PSD file, right? Now there are some operation to do in Photoshop, which we can not describe you in simple words here. Do you know Photoshop? Are you a web designer?

    Yes I do know enough to slice a PSD. My question is where do i cut to get it ready for the single sidebar layout. Just a hint is enough.
