    Page shows correctly in IE but not in FireFox. problem with div stretch!

    Hey guys,
    I have a very weird situation here, I am making this webpage by extensively using firebug to fix the css.

    problem:
    even though there are elements inside the div container by the id="content", the content wont stretch out! but it dose in IE!

    I took out all the height=100% so it would be fluid but it's not working!
    What am i doing wrong?

    Hello armen,
    The bit highlighted in red will clear your floats -
    Code:
    #content_wrap {
    	background-color: #e8d9ad;
    	position: relative;
    	width: 980px;
    	margin: 0 auto;
    overflow: auto;
    }

    Here's a site that explains how that works.
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    overflow:visible; is just the default state which we already know does not clear the floats. http://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_pos_overflow.asp

    Please remember that what you are viewing in IE is an IE bug. Firefox is performing correctly.
