RESOLVED Height/Positioning Problems in AOL Explorer Browser...

Not sure why these things look so much differently in AOL Explorer browser. But I guess you can compare the elements to how they're supposed to look in FF and IE...

In the AOL Explorer browser the search field at the top of the side bar to the left is stretched out too high. The grey shaded area should not be that much bigger than the actual search text field itself... How can I fix that?

And there is extra spacing at the top of the 4 middle images in the footer at the bottom. The first and last images in the footer are positioned correctly, but the middle 4 have a tiny bit of extra spacing at the top... ?

Tried to fix it, but I couldn't. Any ideas?

I don't have AOL Explorer, but it's based on IE, and I see the same issues in IE7 and 6.

The search fields - looks like pretty much the default styling is being applied here - and in Chrome the "Go" button is below the text field. I'd suggest floating both input fields and applying a width so they display consistently cross-browser.

Images at the bottom - applying vertical-align:top to the <a> tags in those cells seems to sort the problem.

Gotcha. Thank you. I fixed the Google Chrome issue but I'm still baffled about why the height of the shaded search area is so big in AOL Explorer...

Default margin on <form> in IE.
