    Renaming Navigation Tab?

    Hello Everybody. New here. .NET and SharePoint developer. Very little CSS.

    We have a SharePoint solution, which uses .NET master pages.

    In the master page, I can add this CSS code to hide the first navigation tab.

    td#zz1_TopNavigationMenun0 {
    display:none;
    }

    Instead, I'd like to rename it's text, from "HOME" to "TOP"

    Can I do this with CSS? I am unble to get to the datasource that's being used to set this navigation on the server side or markup code.

    Thanks for any help or information.

    Hello cyberpine,
    CSS is not going to change the wording on your tab. You don't say whether the menu items are images or text but either way, CSS can't change them.
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    It's text and generated by SharePoint. How about with Javascript?

    rendered code.

    <td onmouseover="Menu_HoverRoot(this)" onmouseout="Menu_Unhover(this)" onkeyup="Menu_Key(this)" id="zz1_TopNavigationMenun0">
