    div border around content

    Hi everyone. I'm working on a theme for my blog using wordpress and I'm trying to get a border around my #container div and my #sidebar div.

    So i created a new div named wrapper2 and placed it right before my container and ended it right after the end of my footer but for some reason there is no border or background(which i also added to the div) showing up and it pushes down my floating sidebar underneath my container div.

    i saved the files as txt so they are each viewable

    http://bottledlove.net/wp-content/th...art/footer.txt

    Thank you for your help!

    Could you post a link to your page, which is having trouble?

    sure it is: http://bottledlove.net/ as you can see the sidebar is pushed down beneath the post

    Code:
    #container {/*style.css (line 96)*/
    float:left;
    /*margin:0 0 0 40px;*/
    width:560px;
    }
    the above makes it OK in FF(2)

    Thank you! I got the sidebar in the correct place again but the border for #wrapper2 still doesn't show up... :/ Any ideas as to why neither the background nor border show?

    CSS validator may help you in this case, see http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...ning=1&lang=en

    Okay I went through the css validator and now I have no errors in my css. The same problem is still there though. The border I made in wrapper2 is still not showing up... :/

    Try
    Code:
    #footer {/*bottledlove.net (line 201)*/
    clear:both;
    /*float:left;*/
    padding:10px 0 0;
    width:750px;
    }
    btw, have you checked your site in IE6?
