    Exclamation Navigation Menu Buggy in Firefox

    Having some problems with my navigation menu being a little buggy in FireFox.

    Sometimes when hovering over subnavs the subnav will not stay open to allow a user to click on of the subnav links.

    Any idea on this...

    No, there is an issue in Firefox 3 (at least) on the dropdown from Services.

    I suspect this is because there's a tiny gap between the Services button and the dropdown, so when you move the mouse you lose the hover and the dropdown disappears. You've got the positioning of the drop down ul in ems (which is fine) , and there's probably a slight difference how FF and IE render the height.

    So, moving the whole drop down up a bit seems to solve it:

    Code:
    #secnav li ul {
    background-color: #555555;
    position: absolute;
    width: 90px;
    left: -999em;
    z-index: 10;
    border: 1px solid #555555;
    border-top: none;
    top:2.75em;/* changed from 2.8em */
    64}

    I'm not on my dev computer so I can't point to specifics but the problem lies in the link area where you aren't giving the mouse a large enough area to hover over to keep it open. If you position the mouse just right, it will work. If it's working in IE it's probably IE not properly collapsing margins.

    btw, validate your html and, particularly your css, and note the warning in the css validator.

    Changing the top from 2.8em to 2.75em seems to be working fine now. Thanks SB65 and everyone that responded.

    Is everyone experiencing anymore issues? Seems to me its working fine now since that minor spacing change.

    @drhowarddrfine, I really need to go through my code and hopefully get it to validate because right now its really really bad which is probably causing some other bugs on various browsers that I'm not aware of. Thanks for calling that out!
