I have a page which displays individual records of a query within an iframe. At the bottom of the page, I have the first, previous, next and last button like you would see in an Access form. Now, I have another similar page with the same buttons, only this one contains an iframe to load the first page. I have this part of my application working fine so that the outer iframe will update the inner iframes data.
However, I now want to make a "new data" form that will add an item to the innermost query's recordset. I'm able to add the data, but I'm having difficulty making the outer iframe refresh so it will give the new number of items.

Within the file in the innermost iframe, I've tried using window.parent.src="filename.asp", but the outer iframe doesn't update. What is the proper way to reload the outer iframe?

Code:
<html>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        function reloadOuter(){
            window.parent.src=window.parent.src;
        }
        function sendWH() {
            width = document.body.clientWidth;
            height = document.documentElement.clientHeight;
            alert ("width="+width+"; height="+height);
        }
    </script>
</head>
<body onload="reloadOuter();">
...
...
</body>
</html>
