    .cse-branding CSS Validator problem

    I am having a problem with the only error on the CSS Validator page. Here's the link: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...ning=1&lang=en
    I don't know how I could possibly fix this since I don't have access to it... I'm so confused on this one.

    Thanks

    You could just copy the styles to your own stylesheet and use that on your page. Also style tags don't go within the body. They go within the head element.

    I'm also confused! How do you fix some error in your code if you don't have access to it?

    Anyway, you may replace zoom: 1; with height:1%; to avoid that validation error.

    Okay what is the issue? This is the url to their stylesheet
    http://www.google.com/cse/api/branding.css

    Go to it. Then copy and paste everything you see there in your own stylesheet file called
    branding.css then change this
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
      @import url(branding.css);
      </style>
    Now you can get rid of those errors because the stylesheet is NOW on your YOUR own server. It helps if you actually try things out. If you don't know how to do something just ask.

    I did what you said and it still shows the zoom error... even though I copied it and have it on my own server it still gets it from google?

    That's because in your code you are still calling the stylesheet from google.

    Code:
      <style type="text/css">
      @import url(http://www.google.com/cse/api/branding.css);
      </style>
    Look for this code and delete it.

    Did you change this
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
      @import url(http://www.google.com/cse/api/branding.css);
      </style>
    to
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
      @import url(branding.css);
      </style>

    Thanks so much guys, Pepe was right I was changing the wrong page in my file manager (simple mistake).

    Now I fixed every error in the validator for my html except 5 that I can't figure out. Anyone know what I could do to fix any of these?

    Thanks so much!

    The alt attribute is the alternative description. This is used for people who cannot or choose not to view images. This is a requirement in the latest versions of HTML.
