    Thumbnail image click to expand

Can't CSS have a thumbnail picture, where when you click it, it expands in like a pop up box to show the full size image, and then you click close to make it go away?

If I use javascript it gives errors in IE browsers. So I hope CSS can do this.

Only is possible to do it with css on hover, not on click. Just google 'CSS Image Gallery' or something of the likes.

Edit-It may not be good practice, but you could supress JS errors in IE if everything else works fine.

No, CSS can only do it with the :hover pseudo class, and it won’t quite work in IE 6 then unless you have non-semantic code.

However, there are a lot of scripts out there that work without any errors in all major browsers so there definitely is a way. What script are you using and haw have you implemented it? Ever tried one of these?

Hmm lightbox is what I need, but it needs to be for both FF and IE browsers.
