Common trends in the coding of forums

    Hi,

We all know that you can identify a blog is a blog within its code as every blog has an RSS feed but i was wondering if there is anything that is unique to forums that is present within all forum's code.

I've tried to do some research into it and the only piece of code that is in around 50% is "showthread.php?" but was wondering if there is a small piece of code like this the is only on forum pages?

The reason i ask is that i have a large list of URLs and want to see how many are forums by creating a tool to visit to code on each page.

    Any thoughts?

Not true but more probably do than not. The same would be true of forums.
