    spacing in navigation

    hi, i got this wordpress theme that has huge spacing in between the navigation links and the side bar links. as you can see here http://phantom-subs.co.cc/

    the css is at http://phantom-subs.co.cc/wp-content...rest/style.css

    i tried everything i know, which isn't much, but i can't figure out how i can reduce the spacing in between the links.

    I would really appreciate the help

    Hello hash899,
    Have a look where the width of li a is set -
    Code:
    #menu a {
    	float: left;
    	width: 139px;
    	height: 32px;
        display: block;
    	text-align: center;
    	text-decoration: none;
    	color: #FFFFFF;
    	font-weight: bold;
    	font-size: 14px;
    	text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    #menu a:hover {
    	width: 139px;
        height: 32px;
    	color: #ff0000;
    	text-decoration: underline;
    }
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    Well, that's what size your buttons are...

    They are loaded as a background for h3 in your right column with this bit of CSS -
    Code:
    #right H3, h2.widgettitle
    {
    width: 222px;
    height: 24px;
    font-size: 14px;
    font-weight: bold;
    padding-left: 25px;
    padding-top: 12px;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    background: url(images/title.gif) repeat-x/**not sure why that would be repeated**/
    }
    You also have a class on that h3 that your not styling in CSS-
    Code:
    <div class="menu">		<h3 class="menu-header">Pages</h3>		<ul>

    			<li class="page_item page-item-7">

    Then you should probably stop using vertical padding on #right li (currently you have it as 10 pixels in all directions.)
