    IE vs FF

Hi, all. I'm a total newb to both this site and to coding- so please excuse my stupidity. I need help with my coding drop down menus- I adapted some code that was being given out free online. I thought I had it right in IE, but when I checked in Fire Fox it was a disaster. I'm in the process of starting a business and simply can't afford a professional designer.

    The URL is: www.dachsys.net

    Can anybody please help?

Make your document to a valid one by changing your DOCTYPE to a valid one. Then validate your page and the errors in your markup, if any.

    Validation errors

Thanks for the help- much appreciated. This is a steep learning curve for me.

When I tried to validate I got two errors- neither of which make any sense to me at all. Any ideas?

    Change your DOCTYPE to
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    and then validate your page.

Thanks once again for your help.

Now my page works the same way in IE and in FF AND It's received a clean bill of health from W3C for both HTML and CSS. Not bad for a newb, I'm thinking, with a little help from my friends.

Nope, not bad but the google panel is not correct in FF3. IN IE6 it shows me a map with the A1 in it. in FF3 I get the gogle maps ausstralia and then text info about 339 Esplanade.

    welcome to CF.

One more tip... I browse with JS disabled - not just to prevent pop-ups but, also, to prevent scripts running in sites I haven't visited before or sites which I do not trust. (I would only re-visit them by accident so the blocker is a safety net as much as anything). My suggestion is that it is propbably not a good idea to make people switch off their script blocking just to sign up to a mailing list.
