    Creating pages in Russian

    Hi!

    I need to add the Russian version pages to a website. I have the text in Russian, but inserting it 'as is' gives me just some garbled text. Is it a question of the doctype and/or meta?

    Does anyone know how to do this?

    Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hope the text is in unicode. Create a new page in notepad and choose "Save As" from the file menu. Give a name, say "myfile.html" and then choose the encoding as UTF-8, and Save.

    Now you may open this file in any editor and paste the required markup. Also add
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
    in the <head>

    Thanks for your reply. Tried changing charset to UTF-8. Does not work. The text is in (Cyrillic) Russian ...

    A simple answer is to be found here:
