    CSS dropdown Menu w/ dotted lines as speration and centered submenu

    So, I'm trying to build a CSS menu which uses "org chart" like dotted lines to separate the top level menu from the lower level sub menu. I'm also relatively new to CSS (firebug has definitely been my friend. )

    As this is a dropdown menu, the submenu should be a div that is hidden/shown when the parent menu is mousedover. But should I contain the dotted lines in their own div too? How do I go about positioning?

    Thanks in advance.

    you need to create a border for the elements. Possibly one with a dotted border. just set a top border to the element that drops down first.

    Code:
    border-top:1px dotted #000;
