    CSS styling issue. please help

    Trying my hand at some CSS navigation buttons, but I have run into a situation.
    How do I get the bullets to show inside the text area in Firefox as it does in IE, rather than inside the border?
    Also how do I put a 3-5px space between the buttons?

    try this for the bullets

    Code:
    .c1 {
    color: #000099;
    font-size: medium;
    text-indent: 20px;
    text-align-align:justify;
    list-style-position:inside;
    }
    try this for the buttons

    Code:
    #button li a {
    display: block;
    margin-top:5px;/*adjust this to whatever you need*/
    padding: 2px 3px 2px ;
    border-top: 6px solid #1874CD;
    border-left: 10px solid #1874CD;
    border-bottom: 6px solid #1E90FF;
    border-right: 10px solid #1E90FF;
    border-style: inset;
    background-color: #F0F8FF;
    width: 100%;
    }
    hope it works

    WOW thank you so much that did the trick. I feel a little mad at myself as I placed the margin spacing in the wrong place last night and never tried it today, but the code in C1 I would have never figured out.
    Can you tell me this? Why, when working with this on my computer it has the bullets and a vertical line on my buttons, but online it is not there?
    Thanks again, I have much to learn and the help I receive from this site continues me on my course.

    Probably something that has not uploaded properly.
    Try uploading again.
    Also remember that the code can be case sensitive on the website even though it isn't on your editor.

    You were right; I still had the test .css style sheet linked to the page. Thanks for making me look closer.

    You are the third person to say something like this. what is an editor and are they easier to use than note pad?

    Thanks Rick

    Well the biggest one, "Dreamweaver" is an editor/WYSIWYG. It helps alot for me, as far as code assistant. Just type html editor into google and see what you come up with.
