    auto image height

I have a table with the outside borders a stretched 1px*1px image. The content of the table is filled through an AJAX call which returns table rows and so the height of the table varies. Can the height of the side images be automatic in some way? If not through static HTML, through DHTML?

    Thanks

Oh my… you’re using AJAX calls and at the same time you’re still applying borders through plain images? Have you ever heard of background images? They repeat themselves automatically in each direction unless you specify differently. For example element {background: url(image.png) top left repeat-y;} will make the image repeat vertically. Is all done in CSS. No „DHTML“ or such complicated stuff.
