    Old timer needs help with CSS :D

    Let me preface this by saying "I have know idea what I'm doing!"

    I'm a graphic artist in the printing industry and have been given this task.... a website! Although I am not savvy with the code I've been doing tons of reading and have felt my way through up till this point. I have an issue with the way IE and FF are displaying my page. Believe it or not, IE is actually the one that is displaying it the way I intended. (go figure )

    Issue 1
    In IE the page content is centered in the view port and everything seems to be right in the world. In FF however the content is flush left.

    Issue 2
    In IE everything in my "content" div is surrounded nicely by the 2px black border.
    In FF however I have several pixels (maybe 50 px) of white area above my header graphic. I know WHEN this started though, I inserted a horizontal list for navigation inside me "header" div and boom WHITE SPACE.

    I'm fully aware that its just something I'm overlooking or simply don't understand.... or both. Would one of you nice people, who knows their way around this code see if you can tell what I did wrong?

    Issue 1, add this to your CSS
    Code:
    #navlist {
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    }
    Issue 2, use this for #content
    Code:
    #content {
    	background: #FFFFFF;
    	text-align: left;
    	width: 700px;
    	margin:auto;
    	border: 2px solid #000000;
    }
