CSS drop menu overlay issue on Java Applet.

Does anyone know of any tips or have ideas on how to get a basic css dropdown menu from disappearing behind my java applet directly beneath it?

I have tried the absolutely positoning z-index trick to no avail, any other tricks!?

    Thanks in advance!

yeah I can't give out the development link unfortunately due to confidentiality reasons. but i can tell you the following:

    HTML is 100% valid
    Using Strict Doctype declaration
the menu div is absolutely positioned above the applet with a z-index of 200
the applet div is absolutely positioned below the menu with a z-index of 100

If there is any js solutions I would certainly entertain those ideas as well!

    Thanks!

Well I found a solution, now I just have to try and implement it with my current menu overlay.

Here is the link for others who may need to jump the same hurdle - The iframe shim.
