    quick image question

I know if i use css width: XX% on an image it will scale accordingly.

What I hate is the aliasing and choppy edges it gets along with it. Is there any type of javascript/etc/hack to get it to anti-alias? If not, I'll just stick with fixed sizes.

No, javascript cannot manipulate your image. In any event, it is the browser that does the image scaling. It is best to leave the image as it is. You may, however, wish to consider showing more or less of your image as the page scales. For a smaller box, show the middle of the image, for a larger box, show the whole image.
