Building a forum template with CSS question

Hey guys...I'm attempting to build a similar template to the one here: http://www.videocardforum.com/index.php

Though I'm kinda stuck at how to go about setting the width of the cells at the very top of the forum.... the ones containing "forum, last post, threads, posts".....

I have the surrounding div set @ 96% of the page width so using a fixed width isn't gonna work..... should I go with a % width? I had a look at the CSS applied to this page but it doesn't use any width settings.... but then the forum is also designed with tables, so it's a bit different.

Obviously the top cells have to keep the same width as the cells they apply to in the below forum as well; so that's something to keep in mind.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for all ideas!!

vBulletin doesn't really use CSS for build, only design, because it's way easier to use tables when building a forum template. They use width="x" instead of CSS's width: x;. The icon column, Threads column, and Posts column don't have widths, so they'll just span the length of their content. The Last Post column is 175 pixels. The Forum column is 100%, and will span whatever length remains. Pretty simple. I'm not sure how it'd fair with CSS though.
