    Right Column div placement

    I would like to place some images in the right column of this page:
    http://www.foreveryoungdance.net/index2.html

    Where do I put the div tag and style to add images/text to the right column?

    Thank you

    In your markup there is no right column set up. Just the space left over when you made the left column narrower than the main container. It's easy to put stuff in that space though, like this:

    markup:
    Code:
     </div>

    <div class="main" id="two-columns">

    	<div class="col2">

    <a href="http://www.nopeople.com/Design"><img src="http://nopeople.com/CSS/thumbnail&#37;20presentation/IMG_6222%20Cape%20Elrington_jpg.jpg"   alt="fishing boat" width="150" height="122" id="boat" /></a>		<div class="left">
    			<div class="content">

    				<h1>Greetings</h1>
    And the CSS that styles the id "boat" I gave that picture:
    Code:
    #boat {
    float: right;
    margin: 10px 10px 0 0;
    }

    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    I just tried to add that and it broke the page.

    Did you put the CSS in too?
    I left the caption like it was, this was just a quick cut/paste. It gets the picture over there though.
    I edited the last post, try it again.

    I decided to start over with the original index file. I have to take my time when modifying html... thank you for all your help.

    Since I still use Dreamweaver 8 I have used some br and other tags that may not be pure css, but they work and the page loads fast. One day I'll feel more confident with css. This forums helps a lot.
