    Hover in IE < 7

    Is there a way to make the command work?

    At the moment I am using:
    Code:
    .roster_1 UL LI
    {
    BORDER-RIGHT: #64787f 1px solid;	BORDER-TOP: #64787f 1px solid;
    BACKGROUND: url(images/roster/roster_back.jpg) #000000 no-repeat;
    BORDER-LEFT: #64787f 1px solid;
    WIDTH: 125px;
    PADDING-TOP: 5px;
    BORDER-BOTTOM: #64787f 1px solid;	HEIGHT: 20px
    }
    .roster_1 UL LI:hover
    {
    BACKGROUND: url(images/roster/li_back.jpg) #000000 no-repeat
    }
    Thanks in advance,
    Josh

    IE6 only recognises hover on <a> tags. For other tags you need JavaScript.

    I wonder why you would want to change something while hovering when it's not a link anyway? It could be confusing from a usability standpoint, as you would probably have people clicking on it. Then again, you'd have to use <a> to make it hover anyway.

    Not always. Say you have a <pre> element and wanted it to change to a slight blue on hover. It wouldn't really look like a link then, would it?

    just include it as a conditional comment for IE < 7 and you can hover everything.
