Web based email client stripping HTML code

i am trying to email myself a Yahoo! news rss feed. The rss feed contains images.

Everything works fine in the email when I view my HTML except for the Yahoo! news rss images -- they don't display at all.

when I check my email in my browser and then "view source" in my web based yahoo email client I get this:

    <a rel="nofollow"><img////></a>

the image tag in the raw RSS feed is as follows:

    Code:
<a href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/topstories/*http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071202/ts_nm/iraq_dc"><img src="http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/nm/20071202/2007_12_02t110329_450x326_us_iraq.jpg?x=130&y=94&sig=fiUdEyOPhV.BN8C185VNxA--" align="left" height="94" width="130" alt="U.S. envoy John Negroponte speaks during a news conference in Islamabad November 18, 2007. Iraq must take advantage of improved security and enact laws aimed at reconciliation or risk a resumption of sectarian violence, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte said on Sunday. January. (Faisal Mahmood/Reuters)" border="0" /></a>
the href= and src= are getting stripped for some reason.

interestingly I tried emailing myself the same rssfeed using another web app and it works fine.. so the web coder who created that app found a way to get around this stripping of code.. does anyone else know how to do it?
