    With CSS:
    Code:
    <style type="text/css" media="print">
    P {font:normal 14px arial,serif;}
    .otherSelector {display:none;}
    #andAnotherOne {display:none;}
    IMG {display:none;}
    </style>
    You can include all the selectors you don't want to be displayed in print with same definition :
    IMG, .myTable, #foo, #foo:bar {display:none;}

    At work we have to do a similar thing, our reason was to make it black text on a white background and also to make the page thinner because some clients were gettin the edge cut off on a 100% width page.

    We have a second copy of the page - we can do this easily since all of the content is dynamic but if you dont have too many pages it should not be a problem. The second page is our "print page" which is colored and laid out exactly as we want it for printing.

    Now the idea is to link to the new page, ask it to print, then make it link back to your initial page. This will display the print page for about a second and then go back to your first page. (NOTE - You can avoid this by making it open in a new window placed off the page or in a 1pixel frame or just a mini window with only "printing page" text visible.)

    Now, to the scripts required, quite simple really...

    Head:
    <script language=javascript>
    function print_page(){
    window.print();
    history.back();
    }
    </script>

    And make this part of the body tag:
    <body OnLoad="print_page()">

    And thats it. Hope that helps you out a bit.

    @Candrias77

    Hi Candrias77 or anyone that can help me,

    Would you know how I would be able to transfer the content of the first page to the seond page so that I would print the second page. Your idea was to have two pages...I am trying to avoid this becaouse if would take more time to retrieve data from the database etc. I need this for Netscape4...the code below is what I use for IE4+ and it works fine but not with NS4..

    <script language="javascript">

    function PageOnLoad() {
    document.all.item('test1').innerHTML = window.opener.document.all.item('idBody').outerHTML;
    window.print();
    window.close();
    }

    </script>
