    Post images and text

    what is the best and easiest way to have text in an image. To say we had navigation side bar that i have repeating down. What is the easiest way to put tex or links into each of the boxes that repeat. I know there is a way i see it all the time. Any suggestions will help, and please let me know if you dont understand what im talking about...

    well, yes but you have a box as an image lets say 50x50. You repeat that image down about 400px. So now basically you have 8 boxes, right. Now i want to put links in each of those boxes, do i have to set a dive to each link with absolute position, or is there a way to place text in each box inside that div?

    In order to have the most control over the location of the text, you could also make 8 divs 50x50 with the text located where you want it. That way in case fonts change or text size changes from browser to browser you will still have the text located within the individual images.

    Otherwise you can use html lists and do some styling to get the desired effect.

    You could use the HTML list (bullet list) and set the properties of the items with CSS, or you can use 8 divs inside of another div. This may be easier or harder, I think it just depends on what you want to do and what you know how to do. I think both can be considered correct assuming I understand what you are really describing.

    sorry, just one more question. How would you define the space of the listings as far as a how far apart they are from top to bottom? I tried List-style-position but it wont work that way, is there any other way?

    Code:
    #divname li
    {
    line-height: 50px;
    }
    *edit ^ that will work for one div with a list. maybe better is:

    Code:
    .classname li
    {
    line-height: 50px;
    }
    if you'll be using it in more than one place

    Caption under image?

    I want to add a caption under an image on one of my pages. The page is coded entirely in CSS, no tables.

    I can't seem to find any information. Any suggestions.

    Thanks,
