CSS site is gone crazy in IE

I am having a problem. I designed this site and in firefox it is perfect, I test it in IE and the header container is gone, the left column does not contain the navigation, and the footer is out of position. Can some one please help me this is my project for school and I am going nuts trying to figure it out. I attached the stylesheet feel free to figure this puzzle out...

You've got no doctype, and there are 9 errors showing up when you validate.

There are some funnies in your code e.g. the opening tag <html/css> should be <html> and you have used a percentage (100%) in your html header image sizing, it is actually 156px x 800px and you have used 155px and 100%. This is why it looks different in IE6 and FF and it looks slightly fuzzy in FF.

    I would visit
http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html to choose a valid doctype.

    Then validate your HTML at
    http://validator.w3.org

Then Validate your Style sheet at
    http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Then when you have put right all the errors come back if you still have any problems.
