    renders OK in IE but not in FF and vice versa..

    Well I have spent a bunch of hours today trying to figure out why this works in IE and not FF. I had it working in ff with <th> tags but then it didn't work in IE. Can anyone lend any insite? The css file has the following:

    Code:
    table {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    border-collapse: collapse;
    text-align: center;
    }
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
    <html>

    <head>
    	<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    	<meta name="author" content="">
    <link href="css/treadster.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    	<title>Treadster, good shoes...no strings</title>
    </head>

    <body bgcolor="#FF6F02">
    <table>
    <tr><td colspan="5"><img src="images/nav/hdrMain.jpg"></td></tr>
    <tr><td><img src="images/nav/hdrMainBotL.jpg"></td>
    <td><a href="dave.php"><img src="images/nav/btnIneed.jpg"></a></td>
    <td><img src="images/nav/blueBox.jpg"></td>
    <td><a href="orderForm.php"><img src="images/nav/btnIhave.jpg"></a></td>
    <td><img src="images/nav/hdrMainBotR.jpg"></td></tr>
    <tr><td colspan="5"><img src="images/nav/hdrMainBot.jpg"></td></tr></table>
    </body>
    </html>
    Thanks!
