    Image background in DIV boxes?

I have seen some websites with DIV box with image title and box background. As more listing or newflashes added, box get extended.

Is it just simple to bolt on image behind DIV box or is there more to it? I have searched but I have no clue to what it's called?

    Thanks

If you just want a box outline you can use a border.

Otherwise, if you have a specific graphic in mind for the box you'll have to use a sliding doors technique. That only requires 2 tags if you have a fixed width or height, but if you want it to expand in all directions you'll need 4.

Dan writes about this in his book "Bullet-proof Web Design," but here's a site that references that chaper and provides an example implementation for you to peruse:
